Cubs Weekly Summary – 4 December 2018

Weekly Summary

This week we started the Christmas preparation early and made baubles for the tree.  The Cubs really got into this exercise and created some lovely decorations as you can see below:

Next week we continue with the Christmas theme, Danyaal’s mum has kindly volunteered to bake cupcakes with the Cubs.

Please bring an apron and something to take a cup cake home him.

Christmas Party

Date: 18th December

Time: 19:00

Once in a year party and fundraiser.

The group will be serving food and drinks (bring your own stronger drink if you would like)

Non uniform day! Bring your family although let us know how many we would need to cook for.

The Scouts will be running party games on 6 bases and fundraising at the same time so please get your 20p (children) and £1 (adults) for age appropriate prizes. It will be surprise so we will just have to wait and see what games will be laid on!

Parents can you be charitable and   donate a bottle so that we can give these as prizes to our other adult winners.

Spring Camp 2019

Date/time: 6pm 5 April 2019 – 12pm 7 April 2019

This will be the first time the 52nd have camped at Skreens Park in a number of years, it’s a lovely spot with some fantastic activities.  We have booked a camp site next to a fire pit at camp isn’t the same without a good fire!!

It will be a Cub and Scouts outdoor camp, tents will be provided for Cubs and Scouts.

Parents and carers are welcome to join us, but you will need to be DBS checked first.  Unfortunately, we may not be able to provide tents for adults.

Activities are still being confirmed, but they will include:

  • Air rifle shooting
  • Sumo suit wrestling

The cost is £50 for the entire weekend.

All bookings MUST be made via OSM and payments should be automated as it saves us much time in administration.We may be requesting an additional charge for any manual payments in the future.
